Sorry I haven't been posting but it is finals week so it has been hectic around here. I have no news on grades so far but I'm feeling confident about half of my classes.

So as far as packing goes, I have been able to pack up the guest bathroom, the rest of the small animal pet stuff, and the fish box but it will remain untapped until the last minutes since I will need to put the fish food I am using now in it. We will also be returning the bed frame to my parents during Thanksgiving so that is one less thing to pack. We will be having an open house type yard sale soon to get rid of a few things which will hopefully take off some pressure. Now I just need to think of more stuff to pack.

In pet news: My poor dwarf hamster Ewok has passed. He lived a long happy life and he was the best hamster. I will miss him. My puppy Chewy needs surgery again on her eye. Both of my dogs are Shih Tzu's and the breed is prone to distichia. Distichia is when the eye lashes grow into the eyes. There is nothing you can do to prevent it and the only way to get rid of it is to remove it with a laser. This will be her second time have the surgery. Mr. Chubbs had the surgery when he got neutered and hopefully does not have to have it again anytime soon or at all.

Well that is all for today. I need to go study I have one more final tomorrow and a 6 page paper I haven't even started.

Alright so it is officially November, which means 4 more months until we move. I finished Chewy's tutu and she looked gorgeous (pics will come soon, I promise) and I plan on making many more. I will also post pictures of her in her and Chubbs in their costumes.

As far as packing goes I must admit I have been procrastinating. I packed all of the puppy clothes including the costumes. I did leave out one sweater each. I am almost done with the fish box but I need to pick up some ziplock bags, I don't want chemicals exploding all over the place. I also unpacked a box. With me no longer working I unpacked my craft stuff so I can work on a few projects.

We are trying not to buy new things but with Christmas coming up we will make a small exception. We both agreed that our Christmas gift to each other is the move but we are still exchanging stockings and doing something for the pets. Most of the pets' gifts will be homemade and hopefully I will be posting tutorials on how I made their toys.

With four months being left I feel like I need to really start packing but as I look around I cannot think of things to pack. I can't pack the puppies' stuff, I can't pack kitchen stuff, I can't pack toiletries. So what is there to do? I packed some "summer" clothes but I live in Louisiana which means short sleeves and jackets all winter. The only winter clothes I have are from our trip to Red River, New Mexico to ski two years ago.

I think I will be packing all of our posters and wall art. We have a few pictures hanging up. If we get everything off the wall then we can see what may need to be patched up before moving. However, the walls and carpet were severely damaged when we moved in.

I am anxiously awaiting my sewing machine and supplies. I missed the UPS truck and now we have to go pick it up from the UPS Center. I'm so excited to get started on all of my projects. I will be going to Hobby Lobby this weekend to pick up some stuff for Christmas gifts and other projects.

I am also excited that I will be taking a sewing class at my college for college credit (nothing to do with my major, just a leisure course). I will actually have somebody teach me how to follow a pattern which is exciting because it is hard to learn from just watching a video (for me anyways, I love to ask questions).

Well anyway I am super busy tonight and will hopefully have a picture to post of the completed tutu and the Halloween costume, man I'm cutting it close.

In 125 days I will be walking across the graduation stage and then jumping in the car to make my way to Denver, CO. But before that dream can come true there are a lot of things that need to be done. I am trying to pack a box of stuff every week. We also have a lot of pets (2 dogs, 2 cats, a hedgehog, a turtle, a hamster, a saltwater tank, and a freshwater tank) which makes packing complicated. We also still use a lot of our stuff 125 days is a long time but at the same time it isn't.

 I have already packed multiple boxes of books, a box of dvds, 2 boxes of extra pet supplies, my collectibles, random things sitting about the apartment, house decor, and most of my desk supplies. This week I am packing extra fish supplies or things I won't be needing between now and then such as water conditioner, filter cleaners, and filter media. I still have more books to pack, more movies, video games, clothes, dishes, and decor. 

We are having a rummage sell soon to get rid of some of the big items that we don't want to take with us as well as make some extra money for the move. We also need to buy some stuff like a car <---- that is a major one. I have a pet taxi that will fit both cats and one dog car seat, I need another one of those and a carrier for the hedgehog. I also need to stock up on dog and cat food. My dogs have allergies and they require a special food that I have only been able to find at my local pet store that I used to work at.

We are also going to start looking for apartments and jobs in Colorado soon so wish us luck with that. I keep referring to the new apartment as tiny because our budget is small and I have been looking at floor plans for some in our budget online. Compared to what we have now they are tiny. We currently live in a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment we will be moving to either a one bedroom or a studio.

So needless to say the next 125 days will be stressful and busy. Mainly because I have all of this on top of school. Thankfully I am taking it easy for my last semester, I have one major difficult class and two leisure classes so there isn't much stress. You know except the GRE and Grad school applications.

Hi my name is Jenny and I currently live in Louisiana with my long-term boyfriend our two puppies, two cats, turtle, hedgehog, and hamster. All of which I'm sure you will get to see numerous pictures of. I am about to graduate from college and we are preparing to move to Colorado at the beginning of the year. Super excited about this move. I look forward to posting pictures of my dogs' Halloween costumes, how I organized our super tiny apartment (after we move), my pets and my crafting projects. This blog is not going to be all about how perfect I am at things or how much I craft/sew. It is just about my life and the things I enjoy doing. I'm not a very good sewer and am working with a new machine so I will be learning along the way, which means there will be mess ups so please bare with me.

I will also be setting up an Etsy shop where you can purchase my cross-stitching designs/products as well as stuffed animals, cat/dog toys, and much more.
